Use Storiando from ChatGPT or Claude.

Connect your assistant to your stories, with the ChatGPT or Claude subscription you already have. Add Storiando as a connector, sign in with your Storiando account, and keep working on your story from the chat.

Connect from Claude

1On claude.ai or in the Claude desktop app, open Settings and then Connectors.
2Choose Add custom connector, name it Storiando and paste the URL above. Leave Advanced settings empty.
3Choose Connect beside Storiando. Sign in with your Storiando account, with the same email and password, or Google, that you use in Storiando.
4Start a new chat and ask something like “Show me my Storiando stories.”If your assistant doesn't use Storiando, turn it on from the tools in the message box.

On a Team or Enterprise plan, an owner of your organization may need to add the connector first.

Connect from ChatGPT

1Open chatgpt.com/plugins, choose + and then Add custom MCP server.
2Name it Storiando, paste the URL above and choose OAuth to sign in.
3Sign in with your Storiando account, with the same email and password, or Google, that you use in Storiando.
4Start a new chat and ask something like “Show me my Storiando stories.”If your assistant doesn't use Storiando, turn it on from the tools in the message box.

On a Business or Enterprise workspace, an admin must allow custom MCP servers first.

What your assistant can do

Work on your stories. Your assistant finds and reads your stories: their details, chapters, characters and locations.
Review and apply changes. It shows you what it would change in a story's details, characters, locations or outline, and applies it once you say yes.
Save chapters it wrote. Keep a chapter you wrote together, as a new chapter or in place of a draft you agree to replace.
Start new stories. Turn an idea from the chat into a new story, with your assistant asking you for anything it needs.

Good to know

A chapter's words that you agree to replace aren't kept, so copy them first if you want them.
What your assistant writes uses your ChatGPT or Claude subscription. It spends no Storiando AI credits.
To disconnect, remove Storiando from your assistant's connectors.

What is MCP?

MCP, the Model Context Protocol, is an open standard that lets AI assistants like ChatGPT and Claude use other apps. Storiando's connector is an MCP server: once you add it and sign in, your assistant can look at your stories and work on them when you ask. You don't need to know more than that to use it.

Which assistants does it work with?

ChatGPT and Claude, the assistants we build and test it for. You add Storiando on chatgpt.com, or on claude.ai or in the Claude desktop app, and you need a ChatGPT or Claude plan that lets you add connectors. We don't support other assistants for now.

Which Storiando plan do I need?

Pro. The connector checks your plan every time your assistant uses it, so if you leave Pro, your assistant can't reach your stories until you're back on it.

What can it change, and what can't it?

Only what's listed under “What your assistant can do”. It can't delete or reorder anything, and it can't touch your account, plan or credits. It only sees your own stories, and not the ones in your trash.

Do changes need my approval?

Yes. Before it changes anything, your assistant shows you what will change and waits for you to say yes in the chat, and ChatGPT or Claude may ask you to allow it as well. Once you say yes, the change goes straight into your story, so read it in the chat first.
